The two day Re-Settlement course is aimed at Police Officers who are nearing retirement, usually within two years of their anticipated retirement date. The course takes place at Police Headquarters, Middlemoor in Exeter.

The course is hosted by Charles Royle and Company, having worked with Devon and Cornwall Police for more than 20 years. In addition a number of external speakers make presentations.

To help officers plan for their retirement from service delegates will receive information and advice on a number of topics which include:

• Explanation of the Police Pension Scheme
• State benefits
• Considering the best time to retire
• Preparing for life outside the force
• Health and fitness in retirement
• Will and estate planning
• Taxation
• Financial Planning

This course will benefit those officers who wish to have a structured plan in place when they eventually retire from the force.
